NORTHEAST

Mars

Mars' 2012 Rookie Class:

3 -  52 WR Peter Hancock

Hancock seems to be possessed of some natural skills, but how many poor endurance WRs can Mars afford to carry?

6 - 100 S Sammie Frisch

Frisch must work on his explosiveness to be any type of safety in this league.

6 - 106 S John Williams

Williams looks like the defensive back version of WR Hancock

7 - 118 WR Othar Morris

Can Morris ever improve his speed enough to be a force?

Overall Grade:  D-

No real impact players in this draft at all.

Rookies to Watch:

None

RENO

Reno's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 - 12  CB Deron Jenkins

Jenkins still has some growing to do but already ranks out as Reno's 2nd best DB.  Hard to find fault with this pick

2 - 30 QB Willie Shinen

Reno passed on a franchise QB to get Jenkins, could Shinnen be the heir apparent?  They better hope so.

3 - 48  S Chris Chapman

Chapman was a reach at this point, one can only hope he has lots of improvement left in him.

4 - 66  DE Morgan Washington

Washington has the look of a rush specialist off the edge.

5 - 84  WR Daryl Williams

About the only thing Williams brings to the table for the Rampage is youth.

6 - 102 OC Ron Bryant

Bryant is somewhat of a surprise he could have some staying power if Reno can keep him.

7 - 120 OT Justin Whitmer

Whittmer grades out as 2nd round talent in the 7th, hard to go wrong there.

Overall Grade: A+

A very solid draft, but with a team that throws as much as Reno I might have gone QB with the first rounder, other than that hard to find faults.

Rookies to Watch:

Cb Jenkins, QB Shinnen, OC Bryant, and OT Whitmer

CANADA

Canada's 2012 Rookie Class:

4 - 62 K Edward Bridges

Bridges is a great kicker, Jeff would disagree with me, but he was worth the 4th.

4 - 68 DE Tony Barney

Not a big fan of Barney not quick or strong enough to make a difference.

5 - 75 DE Yohance Leatherwood

The guy gets tired running onto the field.

6 - 93 DE Corey Watson

Watson ahs DT speed, and DE strength, not a good combination.

7 - 111 QB Anthony Davis

Davis should have a nice pre-season career

Overall Grade:  D

The Canadians needed a kicker and they got a good one.

Rookies to Watch:

K Bridges

OAKLAND

Oakland's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 - 10  DE Chris Hudson

Hudson is a pass rushing force, he needs a bit more endurance training, but I'd start him and turn him loose.  Great pick,  takes care of a need and adds tremendous talent.

1 - 13 QB Drew Stanton

Sanford better start looking over his shoulder as Stanton is a Franchise QB.  The question isn't if he will supplant Sanford, but when?

2 - 28 OG Jerald Goodwin

Goodwin is a force that can start at tackle or Guard for the Raiders.

5 - 81 OC Mike Rawlings

Rawlins has a good chance of being a starting OC soon.

5 - 82 LB Mike Bangs

Bangs ahs a chance for playing time this season.

5 - 88 CB Anthony Johnson

Johnson is a decent cover corner, can he make the team, that's the question.

Overall Grade:  A-

I really like the pick of Hudson it was a gamble based possible endurance issues, but it paid off big for Oakland.  The addition of future star Stanton and immediate starter Goodwin didn't hurt.

Rookies to Watch:

DE Hudson,  QB Stanton,  OG Goodwin

SOUTHEAST

INDIANAPOLIS

Indianapolis's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 - 17 CB Tyronne Jells

The doctor ordered some Youth and Talent for the Speed and Jells delivers on both.

2 - 35 WR Kelvin Townes

Indianapolis WR talent is few and far between Towns just might deliver in a season or two.

3 - 53 HB Uriel Fischer

While Fischer needs work, he should make the roster.

4 - 71 CB Tito Culler

Culler can't be questioned on speed, but he needs some athleticism to go with it, he has a chance though.

5 - 76 OG Neal Torbeck

torbeck has a shot at being a solid guard.

5 - 89 CB Nate Crawford

With 15 Dbs on the Speed roster something has to give, keeping Crawford might make sense.

6 - 107 QB Derrick Kinchen

Kinchen and Oglesby are fighting for QB3 duties, one will be gone by the end of preseason.  My guess is Kinchen will win the battle.

7 - 125 QB Eric Oglesby

Overall Grade: B+

A Solid group of players that should give Indy all sorts of headaches trying to decide who gets cut and who doesn't.

Rookies to Watch:

CB Jells, WR Towns

PRAGUE

Prague's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 -  1 DT Anthony Kinsey

Prague needed some muscle up front and Kinsey delivers, he has already allowed Raines to move to dE where the two should cause plenty of problems for blockers.

2 - 19 OC Ben Kuhns

Kuhns will start on opening day for Prague.

2 - 36 SA John Smith

Smith is probably a season away from being a starter.

3 - 37 LB Ricky Pryor

Pryor not only fills a desperate need, but he'll start this season.

4 - 58 TE Dupre Joseph

Dupre is the 4th starter this team ahs added from this draft, he has some work, but he should be good for a long time.

5 - 73 WR Vince Willets

Willets looks like he will never have the speed to be much of an impact.

6 - 91 QB Damien Mack

Macks Weak arm will probably send him to the scout team.

6 - 99 WR Kurt Signars

Another Slow WR.........

7 - 109 CB Alex Ma'Afala

Borderline player

7 - 117 WR Corwin Ellis

Makes up for better speed by having less athleticism.

Overall Grade:  A+

I really like the first 5 picks, the others don't look very good, but adding 4 instant starters and a 5th down the road is impressive.

Rookies to Watch:

DT Kensey, OC Kuhns, S Smith, LB Pryor, TE Joseph

AREA 51

Area 51's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 -   3  CB Greg Burford

Burford is already the best DB on the Aliens roster.

1 -   8  WR Harold Zobel

Zobel is the complete package, a Star in the making.

1 -  16 LB Bruce Kalil

Kalil is possibly the next Clifford McGill, and he'll start this season on a deep A51 roster.

2 -  21 OG Dontrell Farmer

Framer is yet another starter for the Aliens, look for him to protect those A51 QBs for many years.

2 - 26  OT Matt Burns

Burns could very well be a starter this year, or next year at the worst.

3 - 44  DT Dewhitt Plumb

Plumb appears to be a solid backup.

5 - 80 SA Leon Shelly

Unless you like your DBs smart, Shelly seems to have plenty of talent.

6 - 98 OG Mike Ghezzi

Ghezzi ahs potential, but he also has some growing to do.

7 - 126 QB Jason Cordero

With 5 QBs on the roster cordero will have to fight for a roster spot.

Overall Grade: A+

Hard to go to wrong with 6 picks in the first 3 rounds,  A51 added some much needed talent at key positions.  Perhaps they could have passed on Kalil for the QB of the future.

Rookies to Watch:

CB Burford, WR Zobel, LB Kalil, OG Farmer, OT Burns

LOCH NESS

Loch Ness' 2012 Rookie Class:

1 - 14 HB Tom Smith

Smith appears to be a solid pick that needs a couple more camps luckily the monsters don't need to rush him.

2 - 32 WR Tony Southern

Good speed, but lacks the explosiveness to separate at least for now.

3 - 39 DT Clarence Sparks

Sparks is a keeper, he should see some playing time this season.

3 - 50 WR Ashton Williams

Williams appears to be a good fit, he'll need a little growing, but I like his chances.

5 - 86 HB John Reynolds

Reynolds has a chance to at least make the practice squad this season.

6 - 104 OG Joshua McCarty

One day McCarthy will be a starting guard, good solid pick in the 6th.

7 - 122 S Alvin Moore

Practice squad material at least at this point in his career.

Overall Grade:  B+

It's hard for any rookie to make an impact on this talent laden roster, but several have a chance to be contributors.

Rookies to Watch:

HB Smith,  DT Sparks

CAROLINA

Carolina's 2012 Rookie Class:

4 - 57 CB Victor Dilfer

Could be a contributor in a couple seasons.

4 - 63 CB Matt Deanda

If Deanda can ever improve his conditioning he could play some.

7 - 112 LB John Reese

Get in the weight room, and maybe he can play.

Overall Grade: D-

Just no impact picks, have really hurt this team.

Rookies to Watch:

None

NORTHWEST

NEW JERSEY

New Jersey's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 - 11  HB Kim Neal

Neal is the franchise HB of the future and should receive significant playing time this season.

2 - 29  WR Scott Ball

Ball has some growing to do, but was a good need pick.

2 - 34  FB Nick Stephenson

Stephenson looks like a starter for the Hitmen.

3 - 47  LB Jim Cecil

Cecil should see some special teams play this season.

4 - 65  S Scott Ross

Ross is to slow to make much of a difference.

4 - 70  HB Brian Saidat

With only 3 HBs on the roster Saidat may make the team, but he won't be around long.

5 - 83 WR Tim Jackson

Another athletically slow WR, that may make a practice spot.

6 - 101 G Eric Sipoloa

Sipola will have a hard time making a team that ahs 12 OL in front of him.

7 - 119 S Melvin Wize

Cannon Fodder

Overall Grade: A

Another impact guy could really have helped this team.  But Neal and Stephenson are very talented.

Rookies to Watch:

HB Neal, FB Stephenson

BANGOR

Bangor's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 - 9 DT Greg Legette

The Nor'easters have built a heck of a DL through the draft, and Legette adds even more, he should help give opposing blockers a rough time.

2 - 27 OT Fred Bishop

Bishop should make the transition from Payne and Ball pretty painless.

2 - 31 TE Lewis Allen

Allen is already the Nor'easters best blocking TE, in time he could be the best period.

3 - 49 S Emmitt Holman

Holman looks like quite the steal.

4 - 67 WR Lawrence Kreig

Looks a lot like another Bangor receiver.  WR Watts.

5 - 85 FB Quinton Brown

Brown might have a little potential but he'll struggle to stick in Bangor.

6 - 103 S Terry Abdul-Hakim

Abdul-Hakim could be a bigger steal than Holman

7 - 121 LB Doug Kloak

Kloak has the speed the Nor'easters like, that could spell trouble for McCray.

Overall Grade:  A

As always Bangor finds talent at positions they can use.

Rookies to Watch:

DT Legette, TE Allen, OT Bishop

PITTSBURGH

Pittsburgh's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 -  2  WR James Roques

With an aging WR corps Roques should prove to be a nice injection of talent.

2 - 20  DT Randy Wheat

Wheat needs to work on his quickness but he already has added some muscle to this team and should receive some playing time.

3 - 38 SA Sean Garcia

Garcia is a step slow but he hits hard, and should make the team regardless.

4 - 56 HB Ennis Cobbs

Cobbs is not the answer for this team.

5 - 74 LB Shatony Piurowski

Piurowski should see significant playing time this year, and settle in as a starter in years to follow.

6 - 92 QB Chike Aikens

Aikens has time to develop, now the question is will he?

7 - 110 P Rodney Shelton

Shelton ahs a shot at starting this season.

Overall Grade:  A

A very good draft class for the Ravens, Roques should be fun to watch.

Rookies to Watch:

WR Roques, DT Wheat, LB Piurowski

CHARLOTTE

Charlotte's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 -  5 DE Marque Duobagio

Great pick, Duo should add immensely to this talented Line.

2 - 23 OC Steve Kellin

Kellin will start this season at guard for Charlotte

3 - 41 DE Jason Jackson

Jackson helps upgrade the speed of the Charlotte front 4.

3 - 54 OG Kevin Pederson

Looks like a solid guard.

4 - 72 SA Ray Crowder

Crowder could become a fixture in the future for this team.

5 - 77 CB Larry Fleming

I like this pick in the 5th, Fleming shows promise.

5 - 90 HB David Cutolo

No Endurance equals CUTolo

6 - 95 LB Brian Robinson

Robinson looks to make the roster

7 - 113 LB Jesse McDavid

Practice squad punching bag.

Overall Grade: A

Several strong players should help this team for years to come.

Rookies to Watch:

DE Duobagio, OC Kellin

SOUTHWEST

CHICAGO

Chicago's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 -  4 DE Chris Perry

Perry should start on day one and scare many opponents.

2 - 22 SA Chris Short

Short will need to work on his quickness but he could be a future starter.

3 - 40 CB Dijon Vedetich

Tich needs to work on his hip swivel to be a starting corner, other than that he has the look of a player.

3 - 45 TE Haywood McKibbons

Lack of Speed and Power will seen McKibbons to the practice squad.

6 - 94 QB L.C. Houston

Houston could be a gem and one of the steals of the draft.

Overall Grade: B+

Some of these guys could elevate their game, but at the moment Perry is the only impact player.

Rookies to Watch:

DE Perry

HONG KONG

Hong Kong's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 - 18  QB Raymond Hodge

Hodge is a great QB, but not what HK really needed.

7 - 124  OT Tyrone Speed

Speed should be a capable backup

Overall Grade: C-

Hodge is a great talent, but there just wasn't enough substance in this draft to rate it higher.

Rookies to Watch:

QB Hodge

Camelot

Camelot's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 -  7 CB Rod Bailey

Bailey should be a starter for the next 10 years for this team.

2 - 25 HB Mike Edwards

There were better players available than Edwards, not a fan of this pick.

3 - 43 QB Nate Jennings

Jennings i solid pick and should provide a comfort level for this team at QB.

4 - 61 DT Rod Thompkins

Thompkins brings some muscle to the team, but he is just so slow.

5 - 79 CB Tyrone Boyd

Boyd's speed and natural hands should really help him make this team, a possible starter down the road.

6 - 97  K Aaron McIntosh

Mac looks like a capable starter for this franchise.

7 - 115 CB Frank Vandeaver

Vandeaver is a solid talent for a 7th rounder, the guy has a chance to be a starter some day, great pick.

Overall Grade: B+

Rookies to Watch:

CB Bailey, QB Jennings

TAIWAN

Taiwan's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 -  15  WR Dustin Duncan

Duncan looks like a solid WR that should help this team in the future.  He'll easily make this roster and get some PT this season.

3 -  51  CB Adam Morton

Morton appears to have enough upsides to make the team.

4 - 69  LB Taft Smalls

Smalls is the fastest linebacker on the Maiden's roster, if he can improve in other areas he could be good.

5 - 87  HB Todd Kapp

Kapp looks good enough to keep.

6 - 105 DE Cedric Clemon

Clemon looks like practice squad material, but has a chance down the road.

6 - 108 S Torey Beurlein

Appears to be fighting an uphill battle to make the roster.

7 - 116 CB Marlon Campy

He may have just been a camp pick, but the guy just might stick around.

7 - 123 OG Justin Hager

Hager looks like a keeper.

Overall Grade: B+

Taiwan is slowly moving up the rung in talent, and this draft certainly didn't hurt them.

Rookies to Watch:

WR Duncan, LB Smalls

RUSSIA

Russia's 2012 Rookie Class:

1 - 6 S Amar Vanderjagt

Vanderjagt should team with Foreman to be one of the best 1 - 2 punches at S in the entire league for many years.

2 - 24 OG Brian Times

Times is a solid offensive lineman who should see ever increasing playing time.

2 - 33 WR Daniel Chalenski

Chalenski could be a starter in the distant future.

3 - 42 OT Ryan Bergman

Bergman is yet another burgeoning starter for the Kodiak

3 - 46 HB Jake Massey

Massey may never be a starter, but he has solid backup written all over him.

4 - 55 S Brian Levcik

Levcik should make the roster and contribute some.

4 - 59 WR Kenyon Grant

Just to slow to matter.

4 - 60 FB Deone Cooper

It's doubtful Cooper can make this team with the talent that is in front of him.

5 - 78 OT Isaac Thrash

Thrash has little future in professional football.

6 - 96 DT Jamall Brown

doubtful he'll make the semi pros, much less the Kodiak.

7 - 114 DE Kevin Ware

A long line of weak DL drafts continues here.

Overall Grade: A+

Rookies to Watch:

S Vanderjagt, OG Times, WR Chalenski, OT Bergman
