Mars
Mars' 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 2 WR Damon
McNair
McNair is what offensive
coordinators dream of, match him with WR Buchanon, and Mars should have
some offensive firepower for years to come.
2 - 28 TE Del
Jones
Jones looks like an up can
comer, will he be fast enough for Mars? Hard to tell, but he's a
player.
4 - 62 G Justin
Lowell
Mars OL is fairly talented and
not to old, which probably spells a quick cut for Lowell.
4 - 68 T Jeff
Ackerman
Ackerman has a good shot at
making this team, and getting some PT in the future.
5 - 86 S Karstin
Maybey
There's no Maybe about it,
Maybey is just to darn slow.
5 - 88 QB Chris
Hayes
Hayes has trouble tossing
Hamburgers on the grill, no way he makes throwing footballs as a living.
6 - 93 C Johnny
Vitatoe
Maybe Mars should stick to
drafting centers, they have a way of finding good ones, Vitatoe should
make the team.
7 - 111 G
Charles Cesare
Sorry Charles
you are just not the Tuna Mars ordered.
Overall Grade: B+
The first pick was a great
one, the 2nd pick was a good one, most of the rest were below average.
Rookies to Watch:
WR McNair, TE Jones

RENO
Reno's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 5 DT Darryl
Schools
I was a little surprised Reno
didn't go offense or at least take the quicker DE Landry, however Schools
is without a doubt the best DT on this roster.
2 - 23 CB Chris
Karney
Karney is not as agile as I'd
like in a cover corner, but the good news is he's young and has time to
grow, overall he should one day be a starter.
4 - 59 WR Dave
Johnson
Reno seems to make a living off
of drafting WRs that like to drink and party to much. Johnson looks
to have some talent, but he'll need time to develop. Luckily for
Reno, they have some time.
5 - 77 TE David
Quinn
Quinn likely will play backup
his entire career, but he has some upsides at least with his endurance.
6 - 95 WR Chuck
Millard
Millard is a good looking
prospect for a 6th round pick.
7 - 115 K
Elijiah Bently
I don't see Bently
threatening Jacobs for the kicking job, but it's only a 7th right?
Overall Grade: A-
Schools and Karney hit two
sore spots on this team, Johnson and Millard could be good down the
road.
Rookies to Watch:
DT schools, CB Karney, WR
Johnson, WR Millard

RUSSIA
Russia's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 4 WR Derrick
Smith
While Smith looks like a good
WR, I am surprised with this pick, I thought for sure Russia would go
defensive backfield, but surprised or not, the Russians now have a trio of
young star WRs.
1 - 11 FB Ricky
Dinkins
Dinkins looks to be the heir
apparent to the Russian FB Job, he'll need a couple years to develop, but
FB Bryant can hold down the fort till he's ready
2 - 19 CB
Brandon Brown
Brown adds a nice shot of youth
to the aging Russian secondary, and looks to have a shot to be a
legitimate starter in a couple seasons.
2 - 30 S Canary
Armstead
Armstead will need some serious
growth to be anything more than a backup on this team, his youth might be
the only thing that keeps him on this team.
3 - 40 QB Julian
Ramirez
If this team was looking to
challenge QB Lewis with this pick, I don't think it will happen.
3 - 48 G Sloan
Roberts
Roberts looks to have a major
uphill battle just to make this team.
4 - 66 DT Chuck
Holms
Holms appears to be a steal for
this team, he should make the squad and if his EN grows, so will his
playing time.
5 - 84 LB Jim
Robinson
Robinson looks like the type of
project you should get in the 5th round, he has a shot with a decent camp
to impress the coaches though.
6 - 91 G Rogers
Gregory
I doubt Gregory lasts past
preseason, if he lasts that long.
6 - 102 S
Braxton Bryant
To slow, not agile enough, and
not very good conditioning lead to an early exit from this team.
7 - 120 WR Kevin
Martin
Martin looks like a preseason
warrior, and a regular season couch potato.
7 - 123 FB Joe
Odom
With the acquisition of
Dinkins, I don't see how this guy can make a dent in the roster.
Overall Grade: A
The first three picks are
very good, but there are some real projects after that, though I
also like DT Holms
Rookies to Watch:
WR Smith, CB Brown, FB
Dinkins, DT Holms.

OAKLAND
Oakland's 2009 Rookie Class:
3 - 37 TE Dan
Marzett
TE is not a very strong point
for Oakland, Marzett may be a starter in a year or two.
4 - 55 G
Lejominick Utu
Utu already has some advantages
over some of Oakland's OL It really comes down to a question of how many
players Oakland decides to keep on the Oline.
5 - 73 DE Victor
Medley
If Medley can make this roster
he may very well be a steal, but somebody is going to have to lose out.
5 - 90 S Bill
Carson
With Carson it will take a
huge effort in camp to make this team.
Overall Grade: N/A
With no first or 2nd round
pick, it's really hard to grade this draft, unless you throw in the 4
players Oakland got for it's first, then I'd give it an A+
Rookies to Watch:
TE Marzett, DE Medley
INDIANAPOLIS
Indianapolis's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 15 QB
Reginald Hartfield
Hartfield is the future of this
team at the QB position this is likely Eggers last season as starter.
3 - 51 C Denver
Moore
Indy possesses one of if not
the best OLs in the league, Moore will probably make the team, unless he
just bombs in conditioning. that's saying something.
4 - 69 K Frank
Scott
Scott is Indies new starting
Kicker, did they pick him to soon, maybe, but the guy seems to have
talent.
6 - 101 C Mike
Stewart
I can see Stewart making this
team as they edge out ancient veteran Stephenson.
6 - 105 T
Romules Williams
Maybe he can get a part in
the next Star Trek film. Blocking doesn't really seem to be his
strongpoint.
Overall Grade: B+
Although all the picks are
decent, Hartfield is the only real standout acquisition.
Rookies to Watch:
QB Hartfield, K Scott

HOUSTON
Houston's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 6 LB Chris
Foster
Foster looks much in the mold
of Shaun Sacks, but faster, and that ain't such a bad thing.
3 - 42 S David
Epps
With the age on this teams DB
corps, Epps looks to have a chance to stick and bring some more youth, but
he has some growing to do.
4 - 60 OT Jim
Washington
Give Washington some time in
the weight room, and some cardio workouts, and he just may make an impact
on this team in a couple seasons.
4 - 72 DT Reggie
Glee
Glee should easily make this
team, and get some PT this season. If he can iprove a little he'll
be a starter someday.
5 - 85 HB Bethel
Porter
Porter is feast or famine, he
has the goods it would appear to be very talented. but he gets
winded coming out of the tunnel. If he can improve some on that en,
the sky could be the limit.
6 - 96 P Howard
Johnson
Johnson is a very good punter,
Nestor Drewery is not. Johnson should send Drewery packing.
7 - 114 S Pat
Downing
Downing would probably need
a very good camp to have any realistic chance to stick with this team.
Overall Grade:
An interesting draft
featuring some real nice picks mixed in with some real projects.
Rookies to Watch:
A-
LB Foster, OT Washington,
DT Glee, P Johnson

AREA
51
Area 51's 2009 Rookie Class:
2 - 32 WR Mark
DeBruijn
DeBruijn doesn't compare that
badly to the top Receivers in this draft, a good camp could see his stock
rise on a team with 13 WRs.
2 - 36 LB Wallace
Neal
Neal is an absolute steal with
the last pick in the 2nd, with just a little improvement he will cause
opposing teams headaches, and that ain't good with McGill already on the
roster.
5 - 81 WR Mike
James
A good camp should see a youth
starved team gain a new valuable member.
6 - 106 TE Vincent Bedford
Bedford seems to have a long
ways to go to equal what the Aliens are used to having in a TE, Camp will
probably determine whether he sticks or not.
6 - 108 CB John Duncan
Duncan looks to have some
potential in an area where the Aliens need another shot in the youth arm.
7 - 124 CB Jeff Bolden
Bolden looks to have little
chance to make the roster here.
7 - 126 QB Don Hamilton
The Aliens like Athletic QBs, Hamilton is a little below norm for them
there, but who knows if he is Real lucky he could find himself on IR.
Overall Grade: B
Neal is an absolute Steal,
and DeBruijn looks to be good, no first hurt this team however, as
they finished paying for Tinsley.
Rookies to Watch:
WR DeBruijn, LB Neal

LOCH NESS
Loch Ness' 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 8 CB Freddie
Ambrose
Ambrose should become a star in
his own right with a little seasoning.
1 - 10 OT Cedric
Schuttler
Schuttler will start for a long
long time. He's already one of the best on the roster.
1 - 13 CB Aaron
Young
Ditto Ambrose, Loch Ness
Wrapped up the top CB Talent early in this draft.
4 - 64 QB David
DeFrancisco
DeFrancisco looks well on his
way to being a franchise QB.
5 - 82 LB Glenn
Brown
Like most 5th and beyond picks
you go fishing, Brown might be one you don't throw back. Camps will
tell his fate.
6 - 100 HB Brad
Fisher
Could this be the end of Jacob
Radecic, time will tell again, Fisher has a shot, but it's not a great
one.
6 - 104 S Ben
Bryson
Bryson will more than
likely be working at McDonalds by regular season time.
Overall Grade: A
Three future stars and a
couple others with shots. With aging safeties I might have tried
to land Foreman, but it's hard to find a problem with drafting the two
best corners.
Rookies to Watch:
CB Ambrose, CB Young, QB
DeFrancisco

DALLAS
Dallas's 2009 Rookie Class:
2 - 20 QB Doran
Henderson
The future of the Stallions is
here.
2 - 33 DT Jeff
Ford
Ford looks to make this
team, then again Dallas only has 7 DL.
Overall Grade: C
Normally I wouldn't grade
such a shallow draft class, but Henderson deserves attention.
Rookies to Watch:
QB Henderson, DL Ford
NEW
JERSEY
New Jersey's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 9 S Jason
Foreman
Foreman is a star in the
making, on a team full of players old enough to be his grandfather.
4 - 63 K Ray
Guidugli
My guess is Reber has kicked
his last FG for NJ.
6 - 99 LB Justin
Pallazo
Pallazo needs some real
help to make this team
Overall Grade: B-
Foreman should be special,
but age is creeping up on this team, they need more picks next season.
Rookies to Watch:
S Jason Foreman, K
Guidugli

BANGOR
Bangor's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 16 WR Damien
Watts
With age a major consideration
at WR for Bangor, Watts should help that immensely, look for him to
languish at WR4 or 5 this season, and take a major jump up next season.
1 - 18 LB
Lawrence Seibert
Seibert will learn the ropes
this season and more than likely become a starter by next season.
2 - 31 FB Artose
Streeter
Despite Streeter's youth, he
likely could find himself hitting the streets if he doesn't have a good
camp.
2 - 34 DE Ed
Chalker
If you are looking for a big
play DL I think Chalker is the best in this draft. he may get
overpowered at times, or caught up in a crowd, but he'll make big plays
with that speed/ Quickness combo. Chalker should have gone in the
first round.
3 - 54 S Jason
Lawton
Lawton is fighting a major
uphill battle, just to make this squad.
4 - 57 HB David
Glenn
Glenn could be Mini's backup in
a couple seasons.
5 - 83 QB Chris
Joseph
Let's face it, Bangor should
leave drafting QBs to the Aliens, maybe if they ever took one in the first
he'd pan out.
6 - 103 DT
George Na
While Na might not be headed to
stardom, he is probably headed to finding a spot on the roster.
7 - 121 LB Andre
Thomas
With Seibert,
McElroy, and Ringenberg providing the youth and talent, I just don't
see Thomas finding a roster spot, but Bangor likes LBs.
Overall Grade: A-
Chalker is going to give
every team headaches, and Watts looks to be very good down the road.
Seibert was the 2nd best LB in this draft, it could have been a higher
grade.
Rookies to Watch:
WR Watts, LB Seibert, DE
Chalker, HB Glenn

PITTSBURGH
Pittsburgh's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 7 DE Aaron
Landry
Last year Dwarte, this year
Landry, add in Mitchell and Reese and Pitt suddenly has the third best
front four in the game.
2 - 25 HB
Vincent Morris
With age gathering, Pitt needed
some youth at HB, but Morris will need a great camp to make a difference.
3 - 43 S Steve
Williams
Williams has some growing to
do, but he has a shot the question is how many of Pitts 16 DBs are they
going to keep?
4 - 61 S Warren
Dahl
Dahl's chances look
considerably less than Williams, Dahl will need one heck of a camp to
stick.
5 - 79 TE Tim
Miller
If you are looking for a
blocking TE, Millers not your guy, if you are looking for a pass catching
TE, Miller has a chance. Another camp decision though.
6 - 97 CB Selwyn
Waddy
I like Waddy better than Dahl,
but Waddy still has a fight on his hands just to make the roster.
7 - 109 WR Jim
Akina
Akina is not a bad looking
rookie for a 6th rounder he has a shot, but it's a long one.
7 - 115 G Reggie
Mickens
Mickens could be out the
older Mackey and Braxton based on quickness
Overall Grade: B+
I really like the pick of
Landry, this team has a good front 4 that isn't too old.
somewhere along the lines they need to think about Linebacker though
Rookies to Watch:
DE Landry, S Williams

CHARLOTTE
Charlotte's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 12 HB Eric
Jackson
Jackson looks like he could
have a future on this team, is he Joe Rapid's replacement? I think
that question will take time to answer, but Jackson with growth could be a
good pickup.
2 - 22 WR Getty
Holloway
Holloway has some growing to
do, but he adds talent and youth to an aging team, hard to argue with
that.
3 - 46 CB
Lincoln McClure
McClure's apparent speed should
keep him sticking on this club, the Tigers really need some speed on
defense.
4 - 58 G Shane
Jones
Charlotte's OL may not be
elite, but it is decent and young, Jones will have to fight hard in camp
to have a shot. If he fails to land here, there are other teams like
Taiwan for instance that'll be interested in Jones.
5 - 78 S Brian
Wesley
Lack of speed and EN, two
crucial scores in the defensive backfield will probably send Wesley
packing.
5 - 87 LB David
Porter
Porter makes the team if only
because he is #6 of 6 LBs, and the guy above him is old.
6 - 94 DE Jerry
DeMarco
DeMarco is the third fastest DL
on Charlottes team, with a little bulking up he can make an impact.
7 - 112 TE Jon
Evans
Evans is not far behind
Charlottes #2 and #3 guys, both of them have had 4 camps to Evans none,
hmm, sounds like he may stick.
7 - 118 WR
Lauren Bajema
Bajema has some growing to
do, trouble is he is behind 10 other WRs. That's going to make it
real hard for him to stick here.
Overall Grade: A-
Not a lot of standout
talent, but no real bonehead picks either, a good steady crop.
Rookies to Watch:
HB Jackson, WR Holloway, CB
McClure, G Jones
CHICAGO
Chicago's 2009 Rookie Class:
2 - 27 G Darrion Levin
If Levin can improve his Hands,
and Speed a bit, he should be an elite lineman.
3 - 39 CB Ed Davenport
Davenport appears to have some
potential, and Chicago does have some age, good fit.
7 - 119 TE Freddie Lawson
Can't block, and gets tired easily, not a real dependable TE in my
books.
Overall Grade: C
Normally I wouldn't grade
this draft class either, but I like Levin in the 2nd round.
Rookies to Watch:
G Levin

HONG
KONG
Hong Kong's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 1 HB
Mercedes Wilfork
HK sold the farm to get this
kid, and he looks like he is worth the farm, time will tell for sure.
3 - 41 LB Oscar
Alcorn
The cavaliers have lost Clark,
and Harden off a good LB corps, now they try to rebuild with the
youngsters, if Alcorn can tackle anyone he could be good.
3 - 45 HB Dan
Wright
Does Wright become heir
apparent to the backup role? Sitting behind Wilfork, the odds are he
won't play much past preseason.
3 - 47 C Floyd
Dahl
Dahl is not as quick as HK
centers usually are, but he sure is strong. He'll stick around.
3 - 49 DE
Dovonte Faust
HK usually carries between 7
and 8 DL, they currently have 10, odds are they find a way to keep Faust.
3 - 50 DE Kevin
Mosley
Mosley appears to have the
speed and quickness HK desires in a DE, he should follow in Faust's
footsteps and stick around.
3 - 52 TE Mark
Gillette
This is one HK would love to
have back, but he's here now for a short bit of time at least
4 - 70 LB Luke
Metellus
If Metellus has a nice camp, it
could spell doom for veteran Otto Harrison.
5 - 76 WR Uros
Fisher
Fisher looks like a project
pick, but with two WRs 9 and over on the roster he'll probably stick for
that reason alone.
7 - 117 OT
Robert Fox
On an OL so young and deep my
guess is Fox won't be around long.
7 - 122 LB Tim
Tagaloa
It would probably
take a miracle camp for Tagaloa not to be tagged for IR.
Overall Grade: A
Only one really bad pick,
and a couple iffy's in the 7th, the rest look to have potential.
Rookies to Watch:
HB Wilfork, LB Alcorn, C
Dahl, DE Faust, DE Mosley, LB Metellus

Camelot
Camelot's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 17 G S
Laphand
Laphand brings youth and talent
to the OL he could very well be an opening day starter.
2 - 35 C Sidney
Young
I am kinda liking Young, his
smarts make him perfect for a Center, if he bulks up a bit he might land
an opening day start.
3 - 53 CB
Michael Whittingham
Whittingham is not very
explosive, but his speed and youth should land him a spot on this team.
4 - 71 S Ricardo
Archer
Archer is not very explosive
himself, but I think he also has a good shot at making this team.
5 - 89 G Jorge
McCown
In my book McCown is better
than a couple of Cam's lineman already, but with 13 on the roster
someone's not going to make the cut. Camp will decide his fate.
6 - 107 S Harold
Barbee
Barbee Looks to be a casualty.
7 - 125 LB Paul
Oster
Oster should probably
make the team if only to fill in that LB6 position.
Overall Grade: A-
Two starting OL, and a
couple decent roster fillers, made this a successful venture.
Rookies to Watch:
G S. Laphand, C Young, CB
Whittingham

TAIWAN
Seattle's 2009 Rookie Class:
1 - 3 DT Darryl
Brown
Brown is the best DT on this
roster.
1 - 14 C Damien
Risher
Risher is the 2nd best
offensive lineman on the roster and #1 is getting old.
2 - 24 DT
Rasheed Lesher
Lesher may make this team, but
only if Taiwan decides to dump some older guys.
2 - 26 S Richard
Testaverde
Testaverde has growing to do,
but he'll make this squad, and with a solid camp he'll play.
2 - 29 OT Brock
Holmes
Holmes is a darn good tackle,
he may start opening day as well.
3 - 38 QB Win
Grivna
There's no secret I have never
liked Ruff, and Buck has a Pop Warner arm. A good camp could see Grivna
the new QB, if not this year, surely by next.
4 - 56 WR
Alfredo Mitchell
Mitchell brings youth, and a
potential for talent tot he WR corps, something these ancient wideouts
could use.
4 - 65 DE
Emerson Hobby
IMO Hobby is a steal in the
4th, he is a Chalker light. Give Hobby a decent camp, work on that
speed and quickness, and he'll cause havoc.
5 - 74 CB
Stewart Tillitz
Tillitz may very well have a
future, camp will tell.
6 - 92 WR Luke
Bean
Bean has some promise, but that
EN needs work, still for a 6th, I'd say it was a good pick.
7 - 110 TE Levi
Simmons
Levi might have some
potential, but that EN is awful. Maybe he makes the team because
he's young and can block a bit.
Overall Grade: A+
You could probably throw
darts and get a good draft out of this team, but this imo was the
best draft this year.
Rookies to Watch:
DT Brown, C Risher, S
Testaverde, T Holmes, QB Grivna, WR Mitchell, DE Hobby
TENNESSEE
Tennessee's 2009 Rookie Class:
2 - 21 HB Jim
Shannon
Shannon looks to have the
potential to be a featureback, whether he'll ever be a game breaker
depends on how he does in camp.
3 - 44 QB Aso
Peters
Peters will really have to jell
with this unit in camp to have any chance of becoming a member of the
Terminators.
4 - 67 WR Rother
Nall
Athletically Nall is sound, the
question will be can he be anything more than a possession receiver?
5 - 75 WR Craig
Washington
Washington could be a steal in
the 5th, though he has some very identifiable holes to fill in camp.
5 - 80 TE Arthur
Morrison
Morrison is a good looking
rookie TE, looks to be a more sound pick than Morrison.
6 - 98 LB Craig
Smith
Smith only makes the team if
Tennessee keeps 8, or trades someone else.
7 - 116 WR Ralph
Young
If you like speed then
Young might be your man, if you like WRs that have athleticism to get
open, then you ain't gonna like Young.
Overall Grade: B
No first round pick to help
the draft with a stud, Shannon looks capable, most of the rest look
like projects.
Rookies to Watch:
HB Shannon, TE Morrison
